At New York Dance Academy we are equipped with a sprung dance floor with Marley vinyl. We have a twenty four foot, wall mounted, bamboo ballet barre, with an eight foot section lowered; this creates comfortable reach for smaller individuals. We also have large mirrors to provide dancers with a full view of their movements.

Here at NYDA, we are very focused on teaching students how to dance with the music, instead of to the music. We believe that Dancing is a form of expression that can transmit emotions without words.

We would like to note that our academy will not be participating in competition, but we plan to attend professional level events and classes. This could include local performances, local intensives, NYC performances, higher level conventions and more!
